May 12 - San Francisco - 30th Anniversary of Incline Village Outbreak

This year, marks the 30th anniversary of the Incline Village, Nevada outbreak of "chronic fatigue syndrome". Patients will be holding a demonstration outside the Department of Health and Human Services building in San Francisco from noon-1PM on May 12, 2014.

The theme is "30 Years of Neglect." (Over 1 million not served!) I will ask people to bring folding chairs, so it will be a "sit-down" of sorts. Each person will be holding the portrait of someone who has died of ME, to form a "wall of shame." There will also be a banner. (I will, of course, send out press releases.) Hopefully, it will be live-streamed.

A simultaneous Twitter campaign for that day, as well as a Thunderclap, as well as Google hangouts would also be great ways to increase exposure and include those who can't join us in person.

There will also be a sister demonstration in Washington DC on the same day.
